Installer Spotlight: Midwest Infrastructure Coatings Delivers Big Results for a Small Town When the City of Wheatland, Missouri, needed to take action against severe inflow and infiltration (I&I) problems, they turned to Midwest Infrastructure Coatings—an OBIC-certified installer with a service territory spanning Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, and northeast Texas—known for delivering high-quality work with precision and efficiency. Facing aging infrastructure and limited funds, Wheatland’s leaders sought a way to repair their wastewater system faster than their budget would normally allow. Thanks to federal ARPA funding, the city was able to move forward with an aggressive plan: rehabilitating nearly their entire manhole system in one coordinated effort. Over the course of four months in 2024, MIC lined 260 manholes—all but two in the entire city—and rehabilitated the main lift station, which measured six feet in diameter and extended 20 feet deep. Installer Spotlight: A Tale of Two Clarifiers for Midwest Infrastructure Coatings Midwest Infrastructure Coatings (MIC) has been busy working across Missouri, using OBIC products to restore and protect wastewater clarifiers.  In the towns of Hannibal and Nixa, two critical clarifier projects have been completed, each with its unique challenges but with the same goal - ensuring the long-term integrity of wastewater infrastructure. Hannibal, Missouri - A Clarifier Reborn In Hannibal, a 7,000 square-foot clarifier that had been in service for over 30 years was facing severe corrosion due to hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gas.  The concrete had deteriorated so much that the rocks within the launder were exposed.  The team at MIC got to work restoring the structure with the OBIC Armor Multi-Layer System. The project kicked off with a subcontractor sandblasting the surface, followed by the application of OBIC 1000 polyurea to the clarifier walls and the
